RE: Pink Floyd - Three Tune Tuesday - Song Recommendations Week 31 πŸ—£πŸŽΆ

in Music β€’ 2 years ago

Hello @ablaze πŸ€— Really liked your theme here πŸ‘ Liked the music as well! Nostalgic, slow and kinda sad music always makes me feel calm and it's what I like to hear when I'm feeling sad or in a bad mood. Is that strange? πŸ˜†

They literally don't make them like this anymore, even a 4 minute song these days is an outlier, never mind a 13 minute 23 second mammoth that this one lands in at.

Agree with you! I think it's a shame we (society) put so much limits on art and what's appreciated.

Lately I've been feeling popular songs are just too boring. There's no excitement like in the late 80's and early 90's. 😫 Nowadays I see mostly the same base rhythm and similar tunes. I'm no expert on the subject at all but my ears got a lot better in the later years thanks to my partner who encourages me to listen the individual instruments behind the music. So I've been discovering the current "radio pop music" is just mehh - fine, in my opinion.

Your idea of Three Tunes Tuesday got me excited! But I don't really know a thing about interpret and analyzing music. Would it be ok if I talked about 3 songs I like and what they make me feel in a Three Tunes Tuesday post?

Hey there @blackdaisyft

No that's pretty normal I think, as they will resonate with your own mood. I seem to have a tendency sometimes to deviate towards those type of bands - The National, Radiohead, Pink Floyd... It's not that I don't like more uplifting music, but I do find myself listening to more sombre songs a lot.

Yes, absolutely, just tag threetunetuesday and link @ablaze too so that I see the post. I love getting music recommendations and three friends on here @cmplxty @dandays and @blanchy are always giving me great recommendations n their posts or comments on my posts... Actually one of my favourite recent steers was Lanterns on the Lake who I've been listening to a good bit lately.

I really identify with that. I also know a bit of Radiohead but I'm awful with names of songs and names in general πŸ™ˆ but this gave me an idea and is going to make me do some research and learn more about exciting new stuff and hopefully the name will stick over time! πŸ˜„ I'm going to check the Lanterns on the Lake you suggested and get back to you tomorrow πŸ˜‰

Do you guys usually choose English written songs or anything is welcome? Lately I've been listening on repeat to a portuguese song writer Manuel Cruz, specialy the song named Libelinha (I know most his songs names and lyrics by heart, that's how deep I'm into him 😝)

Here's the link of the song if you wanna check it out. Hope you like it πŸ™Œ Manuel Cruz - Libelinha

Good shout on Manuel Cruz and only 192 views too, so very obscure and not well known, which I like as well. I have no preference whether the songs are in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, whatever. So long as they are good and my ears smile when I listen to them :)

It sounds like Manuel Cruz could be a great Three Tune Tuesday artist or you could pick three different artists. The only rule if you want to call it that is to post links to three tunes and include the #threetunetuesday or #ttt tag.

Awesome! It really got me excited to make a new post... I think it's time 😁

I'm gonna enjoy holidays first and hopefully start the new year the best way by sharing good artist and songs to you. I'll make sure to tag you and look foward to see your feedback.

Happy New Year! πŸ€—

Excellent - I'm looking forward to it. You are flying it so far on Hive, I have rarely see someone so patient who spends so much time on engagement and getting to know people before diving into post number 2. Well done, your patience will pay off in the long run no doubt. Chat soon.

:) :) :)

Yep posting to beat the band these days.... I'm weird like that, when I get a streak going, I can keep it going for a good while - pretty delighted to have made it through the majority of the holiday season and still getting posts published..

Sorry I didn't click your follow button sooner. I get weird about that button especially if they reblog a lot. I can be a real asshole sometimes.

Ha ha, I hear you man, you can't be following everyone and it's easy to think you are following someone and you're not... I actually just went through my follows the last day and there were some there from 3/4 years ago that are long since dormant, so I unfollowed a bunch of them.

Thanks for the follow anyway auld stock.. You've got............

That was nice. First track I listened to this am and it's been years since I heard that one. πŸ‘πŸΏ

Nice one man πŸ‘Œ
