I hope your week was fun, exciting, productive, joyful and music filled like mine, wherever you find yourself on this magical spinning lump of rock that we all call home.

Tuesday is here again, which can only mean one thing, another three tunes from me and hopefully from lots of you legends too. How are all of you music loving rockers from Fanore to the San Francisco doing on this fine evening? Sure, isn't great to be alive all the same like.

It's a time of the week when lovers of music, tunes and craic bring their blockchain community three of their finest and brightest tunes to share and celebrate, so lets roll on and let the tunes flow free.

This is my 64th week waxing lyrical for Three Tune Tuesday. It started off with me just sharing tunes into what seemed like a void, but little by little others joined and now I'm thrilled that we have a little corner of Hive where we come and share our tunes every Tuesday, and long may it continue. I almost stopped posting the songs and thoughts a few times, but I stuck with it and now interestingly it is my favorite thing about Hive. I love music and now I have a network of folks around the world who love music too and we share our tunes and catch up with each others tunes and discuss them each week. We get Pop, Metal, Rock, Gospel, Folk, Jazz, Rap, Hip-Hop, Trip-Hop, Reggae, Bippy bappidy Flange Hop. Ok I made that one up, but you get the idea, we are all learning about new artists, bands, back stories and sure isn't it just mighty!

Something that excites me the most is that we even get musicians sharing their covers of famous songs and even their own songs from time to time here on #ThreeTuneTuesday, which is a real favorite of mine, as that takes talent, time and dedication.

We are adding New posters and retaining our core of regulars here on #TTT which is fantastic. Let's keep it growing and that playlist that @blackdaisyft is updating (when she gets time) has ripped past the 600 mark that I mentioned before and at the last count was at an mightily impressive 639 unique tunes and trucking steadily towards 700. Thank you for doing that by the way daisy, when you do find time, as I like throwing on the playlist from time to time reminding myself of all of the sweet tunes that have been shared down through the months - Good on you.

Weekly, I try to find two or three hours to listen to all of the fantastic music shared from like-minded folk from around the globe and interact with their posts. This has lead me to genres I don't know well and to some amazing new bands and artists and has even introduced me to some musical instruments I did not know existed. It also allows me to upvote smaller accounts and fins some really interesting people from all over the world, which is heartening.

I hope you enjoy the tunes - be sure to tell me all about it in the comments below and above all else, please enjoy the rest of your Tuesday - smile at a stranger, rub a dog, be a nice human to someone who was not expecting it - peace out.

For those unfamiliar with TTT or Three Tune Tuesday....

The jist is as follows

Every Tuesday I'm going to share 3 songs which I like to listen to and I invite your feedback in the comments below. Better still, why not have a blast of your own Three Tune Tuesday and mention me in the post and I'll come and find the post and upvote it. If you could also use #threetunetuesday tags that would be great, as that is what I use when sifting through all the entries every Wednesday. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You'll also be in with a chance of winning the prize - more on that later.

Here are my week sixty four recommendations for Three Tune Tuesday

** Drum roll please.....**

Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit

We have reached the 64th week, which is nearly fifteen months of tunes and over the past while we are getting around twenty three tune tuners per week, and I just realised we still have not had a Tune from Nirvana, not a single one.

Seeing as they were a favourite band of mine growing up, I wanted to change that today and what better way to change it than with this absolute classic that I remember moshing to at youth discos as a young fellow. It might be a bit obvious but it's also a banging tune, so why not!

Nirvana - In Bloom

Nirvana were thrust into te limelight in he early 1990s when grunge became popular and it's fair to say the guys weren't ready for the big time and Kurt Cobain certainly struggled with the attention and would have much prefered a cult following.

I recently read Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl's autobiography and it talks a lot about the early days of Nirvana and I'd really recommend it to any Nirvana or Foo Fighters fans, as of course Dave went on to found Foo Fighters around a year after Kurt's sad death by drug overdose.

On that gloomy note, here is your second tune, another cracker I might add.

Nirvana - Lithium

I'm hopeful that there are a few of you reading this who have never heard of Nirvana and if you are one of them, you are so lucky, as you have so much class music to discover.

Start of with the Nevermind album which will blow your mind, then check out the all acoustic Live in New York and then keep going throug Bleach and In Utero.

You're welcome!! I'll leave you with Lithium 🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟

ThreeTune Spotify Playlist

Our good friend and regular Three Tune Tuesday poster @blackdaisyft adds the ThreeTuneTuesday songs to an ever increasing Spotify playlist occasionally when time allows. You can check them out here:

That's it for another week. Those are your three songs for week sixty four. Let me know what you think - good, bad or indifferent? Did you like them all or just one or two?

Oh yessss.... three absolutely amazing songs 🤘
I think "In Bloom" was featured in one of my BW posts some time ago. Just awesome!

Nice and good shout, such a good song. It was really hard to pick just three here, so much so that I want anoter crack at Nirvana next week!

Some band Nirvana. I throw on Live in Reading album some days in the car and it is unbelievable. Kurt has a knack of going wrong on the guitar but sounding great. The out of tune guitars just added to the whole gig. The live album is so bad its brilliant. And that was the power of Nirvana.

Big time, they were pure class and never had to try hard, just pure natural. Will have to give that Live recording a whirl, not sure if I've heard it before. Is it on Spotify ya?

Kurt has a knack of going wrong on the guitar but sounding great.

Ya big time, that's it exactly, good even when he's bad.

Wow I remember hearing Nirvana for the first time, it was Smells Like Teen Spirit and they were on Top Of The Pops. I have such a clear memory of it, as they made such a huge impression on me. I don't really have such clear memories of when I heard other bands. They were a huge part of my teenagers years and I was devastated when Kurt passed away, I wore a black band on my arm for weeks. Love your selections xxxxx

Class, and I bet you were thinking what the fuck is this and I want more. Few songs stop you in your tracks and this is one of them.

Ya it was so tragic, I was too young to fully get it, but I remember my older sisters being absolutely heart broken, one of them had a ticket to the Dublin gig that never happened, it was like a family bereavement, such was the sadness. He leftsome legacy behind though and I've been listening to them since yesterday. Quality stuff, before their time.

Ah classic here. I don't really like Nirvana as hard as that is to say for someone who grew up in the era of their popularity lol. I like the songs like In Bloom but not many others. It falls into the category of things like Pink Floyd, I appreciate the music and know they are of a different caliber but it's just not for me!

Ya I remember you saying that Pink Floyd, Pearl Jam and Nirvana weren't your bag. They were my staples growing up as my older siblings were playing them in the house and I guess I soaked up that vibe.

Dave Grohl an absolute legend and a hell of an all-round musician!

All true and a real stand up guy and great Dad too which really comes across in his autobiography. I love a good autobiography.

Sounds like an autobiography to read, I like reading them too, and he is a fascinating guy, so am sure in the autobiography you will find out even more!
