A dear greeting to all lovers of physical activities that populate the mythical community of Actifit.
The anticyclone of the Azores and the Siberian anticyclone have merged into a vast bridge of warm air at high altitude that stretches out synchronizing the zonal winds on a wide range of parallels. The branch of the polar vortex, which caused the turbulent Weather, was cut clean and wedged in the center of the Mediterranean transforming into a deadly cut-off of polar air that triggered an endless stationary cyclone. You know, the perfect storm.
The result was that today was another day of isolated but frequent rains associated with moderate electric discharges. On Mount Vesuvius there is still a fair amount of snow that resists the unsuitable temperatures of air and soil. On Vesuvius are active, in some points, numerous fumaroles that contribute to quickly melt the snowy chin along with a thermal spot on the southeast side.
After lunch I dedicated myself to tidying up the house, desperate undertaking! So I had to get ready to go out that I had an appointment with a guy from Marano di Napoli from whom I wanted to buy a used notebook on behalf of a friend of mine. I set off although I hate to move in such weather conditions also because my spirit of outdoor adventure prevailed. Of course the risk was very well calculated.
I knew time had to get a little better as the hours went by, but I wasn’t so sure about the satellite images. But it seems that the short-term forecasts were as reliable as they often are. Metro 1 was very crowded even if the trains are frequent but, obviously, they are not enough.
Arrived in Chiaiano, after entering the Metro with light, I go out in the dark. The sky had darkened a bit because of the bad weather and a bit because of the darkness that began to fall. Signed the deal I immediately returned home thanks to the punctuality of local transport. In practice I managed to take the same bus that had accompanied me to Marano di Napoli.
Sure it was an #alive day when I didn’t have many breaks but here I am on the Metro station celebrating my# iamalivechallenge 261. The wind had changed and it took me a while to figure it out.
