Sunset Bike Ride

in EXHAUST3 years ago

I just finished a 24.229km cycling that lasted about 1hh:9mm:56ss !

Like I mentioned yesterday, I wanted to have an active recovery day with some easy hiking or cycling. As I only went for my usual dog walks during the day, late afternoon I decided to go for a bike ride. The weather was still quite sunny and not too hot, even if slightly warmer than yesterday. We have to take advantage of these mild temperatures, before it gets too hot again.

Of course, as often, after I started, I kept going for longer than expected, and the average speed wasn't too bad either. So it wasn't really an easy ride. I hope this still counts as recovery, and that tomorrow I'm not too sore and can close the month with a run to beat April total mileage.

I tried again to discover new locations, but even after lots of zig and lots of zag, I still ended up in areas I already knew, including some I discovered recently while biking. The past few runs, I was disappointed not seeing much wildlife, but today was much better with of course lots of deer, a few rabbits and a couple of racoons. I also had to avoid some geese because you never know what they'll do if you pass them by too close.

Like I said, if everything goes as planned, tomorrow should be a running day. Till then, keep Exhausting!

Nice, ride. Lovely combination of sun, bike and scenary.

Thanks! I never carry my phone when I run, but I do when I go for a bike ride, so I can snap a few pictures when there's something I like. And sunsets are for sure something I like.
