Almost 10k Evening Run

I just finished a 9.851km running that lasted about 0hh:46mm:11ss !

As usual, no real plan on this run, but I was hoping to go for at least 10k. I ended up about 150 meters meters shy of 10k, so it's okay. Very similar scenario than some of my recent runs: short loop in the woods first (trail can be seen on the cover picture), then when it starts getting dark, back on my usual streets, until I feel like I had enough. That seems to work pretty well for me: the 'warm up' in the forest sets me up for a good run after. My legs weren't too sore, I felt a little lighter than last time, and my breathing was good. Overall, pretty good. And no side effects at all from my vaccine first dose on Thursday.

At 7:33 min/mile, the average pace is not too bad, in line with my current form I guess. It seems I haven't been able to improve my pace for the past few months now, so I just have to keep training. It should eventually get better. I'm more focused on the mileage for now anyways. I still try not to set hard targets for myself, but I hope to reach 120km for this month. This run gets me to 74km, so even if this week was a little low with about 25km, I'm still on target.

It's kind of strange but I always see more wildlife outside of the forest. Of course, lots of deer today, but also racoons, a couple of possums, and a few bunnies. Some of the deer stayed really close, and weren't scared of me at all.

Probably a rest day tomorrow, or maybe some biking, but we'll see how it goes.
Till then, keep Exhausting!
