Budding love - you capture it, with the pounding heart, the soaring emotions!
Like the glass half-empty of half-full (I argue it can only be both!), you show another dichotomy of thinking with the sky:

when we look at the sky, we realize that someone somewhere is looking at the same sky as us, and we feel much closer to that person.
[unless]
looking at the sky would make us feel smaller and the gap between you and the other person you're thinking of grows even bigger.

I'm with you - we all gaze up at the same sky, and this should bring us closer. :)
