RE: WE106] Weekend-Engagement: Conflict management

in Weekend Experiences2 years ago

Hi @emeka4

I tend to agree that some conflict is not worth dealing with head on in the heat of the moment and may need some time, but that only works if both/all parties can agree to have a time out and then talk it through once their anger has abated. It's dependent on the type of friendship or relationship as well. Some people will simply not want to talk things out like adults and would rather escalate issues into shouting matches because it makes them feel powerful, but being able to control anger when you're in the middle of a dispute is key to being able to work through it.

Thanks for your take on the topic.
