How $333.33 of Marketing Helped to Kick off 37.2% Pump in HIVE Price in The Age of Censorship

in LeoFinance3 years ago (edited)

If this is not proof that properly target marketing s exactly what HIVE needs right now, you are a hopeless moron and I doubt anything else will convince you either. This pump comes courtesy of @ecoinstant who is one of the greatest people I have had the fortune interacting with on HIVE (and STEEM).

HIVE.png

I pimped HIVE on NO AGENDA podcast, and now HIVE is PUMPING!!!

Click on the above link. Read it and show some appreciation with a 100% vote. This was the right marketing at the right time with a considerably hyper target audience.

None of These Mentioned Games or DeFi

Let that sink in. This is coming from the interest towards decentralized social media. All the hard fork drama has made HIVE stronger. Censorship has reached levels where Twitter isn't holding back their biases even for the president of USSA.

Mozilla is Dead

Read https://blog.mozilla.org/blog/2021/01/08/we-need-more-than-deplatforming from the official blog. These are the words of Mitchell Baker who is the Executive Chairwoman and CEO of the Mozilla Foundation and of Mozilla Corporation. Depending on the year, 99% of the revenue of Mozilla has come straight from Google.

When companies supposedly stood for "free internet" pushes away people like Brendan Eich (creator of JavaScript) over political donations and then go on to officially state that deplatforming isn't enough, we have come to a point where the supposed guards have become a band of thieves trying to organize a mafia gang.

82% of DHF is Kept Idle

There is no point of investing after the trend has passed away. The reason $333.33 marketing expenditure of @ecoinstant was able to create millions of dollars in value was because HIVE was already doing great doubling the price. @ecoinstant was able to enhance those results. We as a community with even more marketing with proper targeting should be able to achieve a lot.

HIVE Games Are Amazing!

We are already having regular airdrops and great community of creators. This layer zero is massive strength we have. If you go take a look at https://www.risingstargame.com you will see many musicians releasing their work. Some of the music is actually really good. Imagine creating a game like @risingstargame where people can show their talents while making money playing a game. You can follow @sentipl for weekly statistics. This is the chart for daily active players:

Back to DeFi

DeFi became the new trend/craze in cryptosphere. Thanks to the Gamestop short squeeze (which I have written about few times), even the general population is more aware of how little freedom they have when it comes to investing with their own money. With central banks trying to come up with their own unholy fiat money with maximum surveillance and control, public actually wants an alternative. We can can sell it to them.

@dlux-io has impressed me with what it has accomplished with no major funding. You can find the code at https://github.com/dluxio and see for yourself. I'm not a programmer. It is hard for me to judge things on the technical level. What is see is a solid MVP as an investor. That is why I support the following proposals:

This is only one such project on HIVE. Go follow @aggroed and see what he has been up to with HIVE-Engine DeFi. Things are looking like they will soon be able to start poaching users from Ethereum and their high Tx fees and slow confirmations. You can support these developments by voting for

LeoFi is Under Development

There is no way for you to directly support other than voting for @leofinance witness and buying more LEO. One these projects are in a better shape, we can go and put them in front of a targeted audience and we will see results.

@leofinance is already onboarding about 20 users daily. Ethereum and Twitter integrations should have heavily contributed to these numbers. The best thing is that these numbers are highly scalable. Ethereum has the most DeFi users AFAIK and Twitter has millions of users that are being censored.

How About Brave

The more I read their material, the better I feel about how amazing of a platform Brave is. You are even supporting another cryptocurrency project that is trying to create a better internet unlike Mozilla. These are the official documents Brave released for advertisers. Most people don't bother to go through few clicks to dig deep. So I'm leaving them here.:

You are 100% correct.

I wish a marketing DHF proposal would get over the threshold but @ecoinstant has shown what many of us can do with a small bit of the profit we've made over the last few months.

We shouldn't wait for others approval.

We should just DO!

I am spending my own money to print hundreds of thousands of flyers for @rappeh, a pro-medical freedom and anti-lockdown political party and I have put a Hive link QR code to the @rappeh Hive page on every flyer.

Its a double shot, promoting @rappeh and Hive at the same time.

This is absolutely brilliant!
One thing I have come to not is that when it comes to posting content, @dbuzz acts as the best gateway: https://leofinance.io/post/@vimukthi/d-buzz-the-gateway-social-media-dapp

Games are another great way to onboard people. After that they can get better involved with other front ends.

What you are doing can seriously help the growth of the platform. We have to break the bubble we have created within HIVE. @cflclosers was pushing YouTube a lot as a place to promote HIVE. It is a very smart thing to do. If we target other alternative social media websites, the targeting can be even better.

Thanks.
Please follow the @rappeh account to help grow its followers list and make it more attractive to people joining Hive to follow it.

I just did 👍

Thanks. Here is a more detailed post about how I'm using Hive for the Rappeh party. https://peakd.com/hive/@apshamilton/medical-freedom-anti-lockdown-protest-tel-aviv-15-feb-2021-rapeh-party-on-hive

Thank you. I'll read it.

Great!

i was excited as well and i still think Hive is underrated with all of these projects going on.

Also, even in terms of value, i did compartment recently moneywise with btc. In fact if someone invested the same amount of money on Hive and btc 2 months ago, he would have more profits from Hive!

So even in that perspective Hive rules!

HIVE had even fallen out of Top 200. That is some serious undervaluation there. HIVE could grow 100X from current price levels and still only be worth few dozen billions while BTC with many technological issues are not likely to achieve that at all.

I might be power downing and selling 50% if more care and effort doesn't go into the DHF proposals. So if the prices goes higher I would support that but it would be to have less of an influence on here because people are too passive aggressive about the witnesses they vote for and the proposals they vote for without even researching who they are funding, or even reading the proposal for that matter.

At least some DAPPs like @splinterlands and @leofinance have a vision and try to do something great. HUNT Token from STEEM days actually has 3095.1% return for the last year. They really worked on their marketing well. Their trading volume is 3X HIVE trading volume: https://leofinance.io/@vimukthi/thou-shalt-not-underestimate-the-airdrop-already-over-usd19-000-made-without-even-investing

!Beer is DCity a game?

An idle game.

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Yes. I sold my cards some time ago for a decent profit. There have been many new updates. The game is still going reasonably strong: https://dcity.io

Haha, nooooo. I meant that for real. I have a decent city, but it‘s yield farming gamification - if you ask me. I can see a solid case for not calling it a game. It‘s fun, educational, requires investment, lukrative so far, lot‘s of great things about it BUT is it a game? Hmm

Even Cookie Clicker (https://orteil.dashnet.org/cookieclicker) is called a game. dCity can end up having more "gameplay" than Cookie Clicker IMHO. Sometimes the labels we use to categorize things can be tricky.

To me a Game should require a certain amount of Skill and some luck at least. @gerber could add that, I doubt he will.

dCity is designed with the intention of being a more passive game unlike @splinterlands So I would not expect to see any serious "gameplay" aspects.

He could just add a Coinflip button in the right corner.

I'm having a good time personally. I have nearly $3000 worth assets in @splinterlands and enjoy the gameplay. It could be a matter of taste of what type games you like. I even enjoy collecting NFTs on @risingstargame Some may not like the game for lack of gameplay compared to something like a rhythm game etc.

Even if the current games suck for you, there is always DeFi and other DAPPs like @dbuzz

I have no clue about Defi and I always post bone looking into it. I was also told it is not really worth it for small amounts.

The bad thing is that I actually enjoy idle games, but the UX in rising star and cryptobrewmaster is pretty abysmal. Drugwars was nice and clean, but I got raided constantly. Never looked into Splinterlands even though it is the biggest game here it seems. The taxes in Dcity tilt me.

I do think with a higher market cap we will get higher quality games and I am looking forward to that.

@splinterlands is actually the biggest blockchain game right now (not counting gambling and simple blockchain NFTs).

I was also told it is not really worth it for small amounts.

This is because the high GAS fees eat into the profits. Check the latest updates from @aggroed These pools will not have any fees for trading making smaller investments more viable. https://www.dlux.io/dex have some great things planned.

thanks for the info, I will watch out for some info on that LP mining and maybe just maybe give Splinterlands another try. I think I actually tried it right when I cam back to steem/hive.

Things have improved massively with new card, rulesets and tournaments.

The UI for Brewmaster has click sounds now, that's really a step back.

More amazing games are coming!
