Yes. I sold my cards some time ago for a decent profit. There have been many new updates. The game is still going reasonably strong: https://dcity.io
Haha, nooooo. I meant that for real. I have a decent city, but it‘s yield farming gamification - if you ask me. I can see a solid case for not calling it a game. It‘s fun, educational, requires investment, lukrative so far, lot‘s of great things about it BUT is it a game? Hmm
Even Cookie Clicker (https://orteil.dashnet.org/cookieclicker) is called a game. dCity can end up having more "gameplay" than Cookie Clicker IMHO. Sometimes the labels we use to categorize things can be tricky.
To me a Game should require a certain amount of Skill and some luck at least. @gerber could add that, I doubt he will.
dCity is designed with the intention of being a more passive game unlike @splinterlands So I would not expect to see any serious "gameplay" aspects.
I'm having a good time personally. I have nearly $3000 worth assets in @splinterlands and enjoy the gameplay. It could be a matter of taste of what type games you like. I even enjoy collecting NFTs on @risingstargame Some may not like the game for lack of gameplay compared to something like a rhythm game etc.
Even if the current games suck for you, there is always DeFi and other DAPPs like @dbuzz

I have no clue about Defi and I always post bone looking into it. I was also told it is not really worth it for small amounts.
The bad thing is that I actually enjoy idle games, but the UX in rising star and cryptobrewmaster is pretty abysmal. Drugwars was nice and clean, but I got raided constantly. Never looked into Splinterlands even though it is the biggest game here it seems. The taxes in Dcity tilt me.
I do think with a higher market cap we will get higher quality games and I am looking forward to that.
@splinterlands is actually the biggest blockchain game right now (not counting gambling and simple blockchain NFTs).
I was also told it is not really worth it for small amounts.
This is because the high GAS fees eat into the profits. Check the latest updates from @aggroed These pools will not have any fees for trading making smaller investments more viable. https://www.dlux.io/dex have some great things planned.
thanks for the info, I will watch out for some info on that LP mining and maybe just maybe give Splinterlands another try. I think I actually tried it right when I cam back to steem/hive.
