# 886 - Canadian Wildlife - Part 6

in LeoFinance4 years ago

Today we will continue the series called "Canadian Wildlife".

The Royal Canadian Mint is known by its high quality work and the enormous number of commemorative coins issued each year. Among these commemoratives we find many, individual or in series, under the theme "wildlife".

Canada, with its vast lands and seas, is the home of a varied fauna and that will be showed in this series.

I will try to post land animals, sea animals and birds, in that order.

The sixth is a 2013 CAD $20 "Lifelong Mates".

This coin is part of "The Bald Eagle" series. The other two coins are "Returning from the Hunt" and "Mother Protecting Her Eaglets".

It weights 31.39g with silver purity of 99.99% and Proof finish. The mintage was 7,499 units. The issue price was CAD $99.95.

The reverse was designed by Claudio D'Angelo.

@punkysdad would like to see this coin. I don't know if he has it as he is likes to collect coins with the bird theme. He's a Blockchain Newbie so be gentle.

I will show all the Canadian commemoratives that I have and many are birds themed. Please tell him to follow me and maybe he will find bird coins that he does not know about...

Hi, I'm new here. I got my eye out for this but have yet to see the premium to fall enough to make it worth while. Pleasure to meet you Sir. Just learning my way around this place.

The great majority of my Canadian coins were bought on Ebay and I did not pay more than 60% of their issue prices. I searched everyday and sometimes I found good deals.
It is a pleasure to meet you. Welcome!

Thank you for the welcome, I'm not sure how this all works its so new to me. I'm used to the old fashioned Bulletin board format and actual club meetings. Kerris talked me into trying this.

But of course... the American Bald Eagles that fly to Canada.. LOL! I need to get that series... but of course I wont be able to afford them. But I shall put it on my list just the same! Canadian coins are so expensive!

The Royal Canadian Mint issue price is usually very high. Just wait a few years and you will, like me, pay half the price on Ebay.
Tomorrow I will publish my post number 888 and it will be dedicated to you.
