I think exactly the same as you, that quality tends to be lost if we try to write daily just for the sake of writing. That is, we can write anything daily, and we can force ourselves to write an article a day, but the quality of writing will suffer sooner rather than later, because as you said, making quality content requires research and effort, and that is undeniable.
