RE: Is it sustainable to write 365 articles in a year?

ROI also matters. Say if you get like 10 cents vote then writing for 2 cents of return per article per day is not sustainable. And most of the writers here on hive earn 10 or 20 cents. So writing daily becomes demotivating and also writing for adsense page views becomes more profitable.

ROI matters but it's not guaranteed.
There are millions of people out there with blogs that will never earn 10c from ads.

There are people here who earn 10c on day one and some who earn up to $50 a day blogging at these prices. A lot more when the prices are up.

I think that in either case it takes time and effort to build up to the higher number. Your blog won't earn $50 a day until you fill it with hundreds of articles earning a few page views each and you won't get to $50 a day on hive without putting in the groundwork for a year or two to build your reputation and follower base.

Nobody is going to do well from day one so it's more about where you want to put your time and effort. Personally i found hive much better than a blog if you out the work in and build a stake. Then you earn just for voting while you grow.

I give out about a 10c votes on here just for engaging with my content. That adds up over time.
