RE: All Comes Down To Where We Stand or Sit | Based on 2 September @mariannewest's Freewrite Writing Prompt Day 2148 | Prompt: velvet couch (sofá de terciopelo) [Eng/Esp]

What a lovely story! 😊 I worried at first when Riley walked out of the house to the pond. Financial strains and miscommunication are some issues that shake up marriages. Another thing is secrecy. If Riley had not kept his wife in the dark, they wouldn't be having the disagreement over the furnishing and purchase of the couch.

The dialogue between the couple and their emotions are well-crafted. I rooted for their story to have a happy ending and I'm glad it did. Riley is a tough nut and stands up for what he believes is right even in the face of potential consequences. He's not meant for corporate/management politics and risks. Prioritizing his family by returning to his former job shows his courage. Beautifully written as always! Take care and have a wonderful day. !PIMP !LADY 💕

Thanks so much @kemmyb for visiting and leaving your kind compliment for my story. I'm pleased you liked how the tense situation resolved itself. Indeed, miscommunication, secrecy, and financial worries place a tremendous strain on any relationship.

Normally, when couples become embroiled in an argument, it is never fully about the topic at hand. Underlying pressures and often external issues are at play. What comes out of one's mouth is just venting over the frustrating situation.

I was hoping that in my attempt to keep the dialogue at a minimum, that the confusion would be allowed to surface for the contention in the relationship until they worked it out and Riley realized what he needed to resolve his dilemma. Excellent choice he made on his future when knowing his strengths and weaknesses.

I appreciate your support of my story. Take care and have a good weekend.
