What a poignant tale of how life works! Ken and Arthur formerly served as soldiers but ended up living very different lives. One thing I've learned is, life has a way of bringing helpful people across one's way. Ken could have entered that casino, spend the few dollars he had and achieve nothing meaningful. But he found Arthur and that changed his life. It's heartwarming that Arthur did not turn up his nose at his fellow veteran but chose to help him. That's empathy!

This is a touching narrative. You vividly capture the struggles, homelessness and challenges that some veterans face. Well done! Take care and have a great week. !LADY 💕

Yes, I also feel this story is poignant in that it shows how two people can experience the same trauma in a situation. One person comes through with issues, but is able to overcome them and lead a productive life. The other person has issues also, but remains almost stuck in time, unable to move forward. I know what help is available, but some may find it difficult to seek help for whatever reason.

Only through empathy can one truly break through and touch someone who may be lost or on the verge of it. I was happy that Arthur was able to locate Ken in the alley where homeless reside right of the casino strip where the excitement and limelight doesn't shine, and hope doesn't permeate the surroundings.

Thanks so much for your visit and thorough analysis, as usual, of my story. I appreciate your in-depth look at the relationship of the have and the have not where no one is better than the next person.
