I had a partially awful week last week mainly because I was in pain because of my teeth. I had endured it for a while and just took some pain reliever to at least reduce the pain and discomfort. However, after I had my class one Saturday night, the pain became unbearable that even pain reliever had no to very little effect.
Despite worrying about money, I decided to get a dentist's appointment to at least know what's going on. It was the weekend and most of the dentists nearby were either closed or fully-booked. Luckily, I landed one on Monday morning. So, I just continued with my pain relievers and distracted myself by watching some movies or playing some mobile games.
I had a consultation and an X-ray was taken to check what the underlying causes were. It was either a problem in my root canal or my wisdom tooth which was impacted. I was prescribed with some antibiotics. I hate taking antibiotics since I always experience severe side effects, but I discussed with my dentist the fact that antibiotics under the penicillin family is my enemy. She tried prescribing me another type and luckily I only experienced mild side effects which were pretty tolerable.
On the third day of taking the antibiotic, I didn't feel any pain at all anymore. I need not take pain medication on the second day either since it was already quite tolerable and I didn't want to be too dependent on meds. Despite that, I had to continue the remaining days of antibiotic intake to prevent resistance in the future. haha But, I opted not to go back to the dentist anymore. It would just be the same consultation and X-ray... and payment. I'm poor. I have no money to afford it anymore. I'm just lucky my pain is gone.
I started working again this week and hopefully the positive progress would continue.
I've mentioned earlier that I was distracting myself with mobile games... and recently (around last Friday) my Taiwanese student told me about Diablo Immortal. It's a mobile version of Diablo, an online RPG game. I used to play some RPG games when I was in University because of my male bestie who's still crazy about it until now. We used to play RAN and CABAL online. I've heard of Diablo, but I have never tried playing it. Now that it's on mobile, I wanted to give it a shot.
The file is quite heavy at around 10GB. I'm just glad I purchased a gaming phone, so the gaming interface is so smooth and so far, for more than a week of playing, it still very smooth and convenient to play.
The day I finished taking the last antibiotic was also the day I finished the first 60 levels of this game allowing me to unlock the higher stages. It is fun and easy to understand. The graphics are also really good.
Obviously, I chose to be under the "wizard class". I'm always in this kind of class be it in RPG or MOBA games. I like long-range with great AoE damage. It could be both a damage dealer or a healer. In CABAL, I used to be in an archer class (well, the account belongs to my male bestie... lol). I guess I could try a similar class in Diablo Immortal someday, like Demon Hunter class... I think?
In the game, there are two different factions. I'm not very familiar with them yet as I've only been playing for more than a week. However, there was a lottery to join the Shadow faction, so I gave it a shot and luckily, I was chosen. In the Shadow, we also have some separate activities and quests and there are also various ranks. I'm still Apprentice III, so I have 25 ranks to go. lol
I told my male bestie about this game and he started playing recently, too. However, we didn't choose the same server, so we can't play together. Maybe, we'll create a separate account in the same server someday. And we're planning to upgrade our PC together in the future and make it ready for gaming as well. Anyway, it's still in the far future since it requires a lot of preparation. My PC has been acting up for a while now, but I still have no enough money to upgrade it, so I need to be patient. It'll not only be for gaming, but also to improve my working environment since my PC is also my work partner.
I'll continue conquering quests in both gaming and life. Until next time! Please support me! haha (^^,)/
