Repent and believe in Christ. Peter gave us some hints in acts :)
Yes. To repent, concerning salvation, is to change your mind regarding sin & Jesus Christ - but faith comes first. A person who has truly repented of sin and exercised faith in Christ will give evidence of a changed life (2 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 5:19–23; James 2:14–26). ❤️
chicken or egg. you would assume someone has faith first. but the way Christians like to proclaim God yet still hold onto cherished sin is concerning.
we love Him because He first loved us.
“God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth,” which is a phrase from 1 Timothy 2:4. God may or may not grant them to repent and believe. It’s a gift of sovereign grace.
That’s the beauty of grace. We are undeserving of Heaven. Even Christians sin. We are saved by our faith. With true faith comes a desire to serve God, repent and live for Him.
I would need to write a very long comment to answer that. Overall, I think just being a good person already helps a lot.
