Yeah, the one picture is kind of surreal with the ballgame going on like nothing is happening. Meanwhile in the background it looks like the apocalypse.

It looks like St. Helens has the highest threat score (267) for volcanoes in the PNW. I see Mount Rainier (244) and Baker (156) on the list too.
I don't hear much about St Helens since I left there 12 years ago. I know at that time though the lava dome inside the crater was still growing.
With all the population areas close to Rainer, that one seems like it could be a real disaster if it went off.
Good points. Rainer last exploded in the 1800s, but it would likely be more destructive now, as you said.
