I'm playing Final Fantasy VII Modded recently, (I just finished Disk 2,) and I love what New Threat 2.0 Mod has to offer. The best thing is that you can save Aerith, and the game still makes sense after it.

Have the Steam version of FF7 and:

Install 7th Heaven's Mod: https://7thheaven.rocks/
Install New Threat Mod (1.5 or 2.0, I hear you can do it on both versions, but I only tried 2.0)
Play until Aerith's iconic scene.
In NT MOd, the Boss will revive Aerith Mid-battle.
DON'T KILL HER
