Well, there was talk about buying "steemit.com" the URL for more money than "HIVE Blockchain Technologies Ltd" has in marketcap.

The problem is there is no one really to sue.
i guess they went after the holder of the URL hive.blog

And what really gets me is that the say they spent so much money on getting name recognition... when we have a group that is VERY interested in block-chain technologies and no one said, "Hey, this HIVE group already exists"

        It almost looks like they are doing this for attention. I don't want to make accusations without much research. But these things don't show much of "brand"

        It's probably even one of those companies that tried to gain some marketcap by having "blockchain" in the name. They don't do mining in Canada and Canada isn't some low tax country. Maybe they just wanted to be on TSXV.
