The Goddes Caiféin is not known in the classical works of mythology: she is neither Greek nor Norse, Celtic nor Germanic, Babylonian or Roman; nor is she Egyptian, Canaanite, Baltic, Finnish, or even related to Cthulu. If anything, Caiféin is the first of a global mythology, an idea to which many of us subscribe: Caiféin is the Goddess of Caffeine.

Caiféin is often portrayed by western media as a white skinned, fair haired young woman. In other cultures, however, she is portrayed as befitting the region: dark skinned, light skinned, blonde or brunette, and it matters not. Caiféin is not a person as much as an idea, an idea of wakefulness.
What is a constant, however, in any region of the world, is her form of dress: whether she wears leggings and a t-shirt, phaa biang and kanga or just a simple robe, the clothing is always portrayed as white, with white signifying the simple, innocent essence that is the love of caffeine.
Caiféin is attended to by her coffee-bean attendants named ienes. Ienes are coffee beans with wings, which travel the world bringing Caiféin's blessings to those she favours most. They report back to Caiféin as well, bringing her tidings of her worshippers thoughts and well wishes.
This piece was made in Poser 3D using free and purchased objects. The environment, with both the environment sets and the model being part of the Poser 3D package, and the additional objects either freeware or purchased by me previously.
Putting together any 3D image requires placing the models one by one. In this case the bag of coffee beans and coffee grinder were place on the ground after the environment. The environment was first so I knew the space I had to deal with.
The Iene constructs are a combination of three pieces: a coffee bean and two individual wings. These were the biggest issue to deal with because I had to create each one individually, and set each wing's parent individually.
Once I had the Ienes in place, putting the other props in place was straightforward. One of the fun things of 3D modelling is posing the models that have bone structures. I had put the model of Caiféin herself through a number of poses, including a jazz pose at one point, to find what I wanted.
Caiféin is, perhaps, my favourite goddess.
