TikTok Censorship Is Insane

in #cent2 years ago

I'm not sure if any of your guys use TikTok or produce content on there, but their community guidelines are extremely strict. TikTok, quite frankly, is a cesspool of idiocy, but it's pretty addicting like many other social media platforms. I've been on TikTok for less than a year and my goodness are people here whiny children...

Anyways, that's beside the point. Lately, I've been doing a lot of live streams on TikTok and the guidelines on live streams are stricter than the normal guidelines. For example, on TikTok, the guidelines for live streams also state that you can not share "misinformation". Clearly, I have some issues with this. We have a bunch of low-level, likely low-intellect, low-knowledge content moderators on TikTok that believe that they know the ultimate truths of the universe. It IS ABSOLUTELY BONKERS that corporations have these kinds of guidelines on these social networks.

Well, this isn't surprising considering the app has a lot of Chinese (Chinese National) investors involved.

I say just say no to Tik Tok and their Chinese overlords

I typically use it to try and engage more with the community on there politically. I don't use it for entertainment or anything like that.
