Jolly contest. Holiday movies

I joined steemit today because I saw this contest on twitter and it looked like so much fun! My favourite festive films are these...

Home Alone

this movie was something from my childhood! it is funny but also sad! mostly, I love the funny bits and it shows just how clever children are when parents are not there! It is a christmas tale that makes a person realise how important family is! I think that even today this is a great movie to show kids because not only is there a lot of adventure in it but it also gives a very important life lesson. The second one, home alone 2 was also a great movie but the first one will always be the great Christmas classic to me.

A Christmas carol

This movie did a different take on a very old classic story! They made is so much more fun for children. but mostly, I loved the animation. I love how it takes you back into a time long forgotten where family and traditions were still so important during Christmas time and not just shops and presents. It was abut so much more! I love the grand tables with the decadent food and all the happy faces celebrating together it really warms your heart! It is a timeless classic that has been given new life and that is wonderful because children today should know such great stories.

and my last is....

GREMLINS

This is actually my most favourite! because it is a horror combined with a Christmas story! This move is a legend of the 90's!!!! It has so much thrill and excitement and even as old as it is, I still love all those gremlins, even the bad guys because some of them are so funny, but gizmo is especially my favourite. He is just too cute for words!

That is my top 3!!!! I am so excited to join this cool competition!

As for the choices, well, Home Alone has definitely been a very popular one and with good reason! It is a timeless classic and captures the imagination, is hilarious in many aspects and has the warm fuzzy feeling at the end! The Christmas Carol animated version from 2009 was a bit of a darker one I found compared to say, the Muppets version, but I still enjoyed it! It's one of the foundations of this festive period I think and the fact it's had so many different versions is a tribute to the original works from Charles Dickens!

Gremlins is another great shout too! Not had that one in yet so it could be the winner when we do our poll after all entries are verified!

So all you need to do is just add a little bit more wording to bring it up to minimum of 250 and you're good to go! Everything else is spot on!

Home Alone and Christmas Carol (the Muppets version) definitely in my top 3 but I didn't consider Gremlins! Think that's the first time we've seen it so far so another great shout there!
