What's your take? Prayers works or just Sheer lucks?

Prayers changes things, so they say. But have you actually prayed for something so fiercely and dearly but nothing happened? If you have, then you must have wondered on a couple of occasions if things happens based on sheer luck or prayers actually gets answered.

People all over the world pray to whatever they believe in and serve, infidels too pray, maybe to God or to some dairies. Sad truth is, at some point, prayers(what you needed and asked for) gets answered, you get what you wants and you are happy. But is it prayer at work or just wishes coming true?

In the light of this, if its prayers that works, then what about atheist who believe not in God or any supreme being, when their wishes and heart desires comes true, is that wishes or prayers coming to fulfillment?

I have thought about this several moments of my life, when things don't go well with me, when I lost my parents or lost huge sum of money. I ponder on this, if prayers works for believers, what works for an atheist? What brings all their wishes to fulfillment, sheer luck or they say silent prayers in their minds?

Very interesting question I've found myself asking too, but I dont even bother anymore. I just pray, if it comes through, I'm happy, if it doesn't, I'm d same.

That's the hard part bro, praying and not certain if prayers get answered.

If prayer does work, you should find some relationship between prayer or religiosity and success in life, happiness etc. It should be statistical and empirical, not just anecdotal.
