Yesterday I got a message from Vinted, according to which, one of my listed products was hidden, due to violating the terms. This notification took me by surprise obviously, not to mention they stated that in case of a repeated rule violation, my account will be terminated. I'm always making sure to respect the rules, so the first thing I did was check what that was about.
It was one of my denim bags that got flagged, and as each bag is unique, I had to see what the problem was. After some investigation I learnt that indeed, I broke the rules.
When I listed my bag, at the brand section I stated "Handmade Beauty", because during my research I saw most of the sellers listed their handmade and unique bags under this brand/name. This made me think these unique, handmade bags can be called "Handmade Beauties".

So yes, I broke the rules, misled the potential buyers, but not willingly, or knowingly. Does this count? Nope, it doesn't matter. Do I get a pass because I didn't know the rules, or I let myself believe what I wanted? Nope, I don't get a pass. The only thing I could do is delist the bag and list it again, without a brand name, obviously. Most likely a lot of sellers are in a similar situation, but that doesn't change anything. I am responsible for my actions and don't get any preferential treatments just because others did the same.
The funny thing is, this incident made me think of Hive 😂. For some reason I remembered what happens on Hive, when someone is on the wrong side of the line.
The first thing they do is say, they didn't know. Some of them didn't know indeed, some knew and were betting on playing the innocent card and getting away with it. What comes after is the annoying part and will never understand this mentality.
After the first incident, if you do the same again, you can't claim you didn't know as you've been warned before, but that doesn't stop them. When they are caught the second time doing the same thing, what they do is ask for a second chance. Well, the second chance was granted after they were first caught, you don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure that out.
Accepting the consequences of your actions is never the case with them. After the third or fourth second chance, they still need another second chance and begging never stops. If begging doesn't bring results, then comes God into the picture and if the religious bullshit doesn't work either, then comes threatening. Not that it ever works, but it it in the big book of cheaters, so why not use it, right?

If you think of these as individual cases, you most likely say "it happens", but if you take a step back and look at the bigger picture, you realize there are certain countries, where you can barely find an exception, as the vast majority of the people are like this.
They are lucky on Hive, as you can contact the other party by comment, or on Discord and if they block you, unfortunately wallet spamming is still an option to send endless begging and threatening messages. You can also keep the content of your wallet as apart from hackers and hostile takeovers, no one can take your money away.
In real life, things are different, not that Hive is not real life :))). PayPal and Google Adsense are known to remove you from their program without giving you any specific reason and appealing against it is not an option. You're notified that you violated the agreement and goodbye! You're out of the door. There's no begging, no threatening, no mentioning God and second chances to anyone and most likely your money is taken as well.

I was thinking what this landscape will look like in 5 or 10 years. Development can't be stopped, AI is used more and more and pretty soon decision making is going to be taken out of human hands and AI is going to decide your faith and with AI there's no maybe, just yes and no.
The only luck these countries have is that evolution is slow in that part of the world, electricity is rare as a white crow,control is in the hand of a selected few and will never be handed over to technology. People will never learn to do the right thing either, as why would they, if there's always a second chance, one after another, endlessly.
