As a good Italian I go for a trip to Rome at least once a year, and every time this city is able to amaze me. Here the various historical periods, from the ancient Romans to today, coexist side by side as if it were a normal thing.
One of the most energetic places in the whole city are definitely the 'Imperial Forums'
This was truly the navel of the world, from here the fate of the whole Roman empire was decided, which at the height of its splendor included almost all of Europe and much of Asia.

We only move a few tens of meters from San Pietro and find another magical place Castel Sant'Angelo.
Built around 123 AD as a sepulcher for the emperor Hadrian and his family, Castel Sant'Angelo has an atypical destiny in the historical-artistic panorama of the capital. While all the other Roman monuments are overwhelmed, reduced to ruins or quarries of bare materials to be recycled into new, modern buildings, the Castle - through an uninterrupted series of developments and transformations that seem to slide into each other without solution of continuity - accompanies the fate and history of Rome for almost two thousand years.
