Today I will show you the 2019 Canadian Maple Leaf Double Incuse Silver Coin.

It is a 2019 $5 CAD weighting 31.1g (1oz) with 99.99% silver purity and Brilliant Uncirculated finish.

This rendition marks the 31st anniversary of the silver leaf and features the intricate Walter Ott "Maple Leaf" design which quickly elevated the status of this coin among investors.

This edition is distinguished by the “stuck in” or “incuse” starburst field of intricate light refracted radial lines.

The Maple Leaf is encircled by the country of origin, weight, and purity.

The radiant incuse striking is also present on the obverse of this coin, which maintains a simplistic and skilfully engraved portrait of Elizabeth II, designed by Susanna Blunt, making this a double incuse coin.

Joining this incuse feature on the obverse, Elizabeth II’s name, the year of issue and the coin’s unique denominational value.

I like the new radial fields (actually not so new) of the Maple Leaf. And the strikes on the double incused Maples must be so good the coin sparkles. I have not seen one up close. Beautiful!

I really like the advanced security features like the micro engraved and laser security marks on the surface Maple Leaf coins. The bullion coins carry higher premiums here than ASE. Maple Lef are great to stack for stackers who have access to good pricing.

The Royal Canadian Mint issues hundreds of commemoratives each year. Some are beautiful and some are ugly, but on average the Canadian coins are good to our sight...
