I'm not upset.

I knew steemit inc had controlling stake or close to it on Steem.

I know high risk investments are high risk.

I think it is really interesting, I do think some have more to lose than others though. My little stake isn't much, and my financial life is nearly completely unaffected. I have sympathy for those who have stronger financial ties.

To be honest I think it is going to get really messy for a while, but I find it interesting and a next step in the crypto market.

Crypto is no special snowflake, it will go through the same changes all emerging technologies go through.

A great new idea (Bitcoin)
The me too era... everyone makes one..
consolidation of the market (mergers and acquisitions)
Leading companies emerge , most projects fail.

Remember the first ideal of the Internet?
Remember IBM Compatibles...

That's about where I am too, having bought and collected around 35k this past year.

The sun hasn't gone down yet, still hopeful here :)

Oh, I wasn't saying it was hopeless.

Tron could make something of it.

Someone might make a Steem Classic

Lot's of good things can happen.

When I say interesting, crypto hasn't seen a lot of partnerships or Mergers yet.
So, you also have community and market reactions. Which appear to be pretty mixed at this point.

Yes, very true. A partnership where Steem brings the people (ahem), and Tron brings the cash. Not knowing just how fat Justin's wallet is, this seems like a good deal to me.

Hell, I set up my first network before DOS was a thing.

I don't even care about the money, personally. My issues are decentralization, censorship resistance, and anonymity. It's looking pretty bad for 2 of 3, and Imma stick with SteemGoldCash, or whatever they rename the fork to - as long as it meets those standards.
