RE: Supporting Steemians and The Steem Ecosystem

in #steem6 years ago

I know I’m about 2 months late to this post but I wanted to thank you first and foremost for being here. It takes a set of balls to buy a ton of Steem, power it up, and try to help the community prosper. The alternative which is to rape the pool is too easy if you have the means...so kudos to you.

You had a ton of great input here so I’m probably just parroting a bit, but I don’t think there is a perfect formula to manual curation.

I’ve seen so many folks here talk about only quality content is deserving and all that. I disagree. That’s never going to bring the masses here. Granted, should we all strive to put out something useful or of interest...of course. But at the same time, the guy talking about and showing off his new car or the student discussing the stresses of midterms...those are of value as well. Maybe not to you or I but to someone. We just need to bring the people here.

In my main field which is Collectibles, most people here outside of a handful truly give a shit. But I know to those folks, my posts hold value as theirs do to me. That’s why I’m trying like hell to grow that specific community.

I think that’s important and sadly i feel I’m in the minority in that thinking.

I personally support those in my field, those working to make this platform a better one through various methods, friends I’ve made here, and of course...posts I find that hold value to me.

Not sure if that helps at all but figured I’d throw my hat into the ring as well. Looking forward to conversing more.
