Fitness: 9th December 2020 + A Did You Know Question

Good Morning

So, following up from yesterday, I got up again at 4:30 a.m. today. I spent an hour meditating, and then about 5:40 a.m. decided to go jogging. I plan to jog for a few days and will eventually bring in my weight exercising regime. That will be awesome if you ask me. To start with meditation, then jog, then weights and then breathing exercises (almost like aerobic) in just one day. Hmm. Sounds cool.

Coming back to today morning’s regime. I got ready for the jog and was at the road by 6:00 a.m.

Much like yesterday, I did a good 3 km run but faster than yesterday. I also walked more than a km, which was both the warm-up before the run and the cool-down after the run. I guess I will gradually increase the distance too.

Once home, I went about the breathing exercises focused on the abdomen. One of the known exercises is the Stomach Vacuum. That and few more were added to the regime. With that, I concluded the exercise for the day and got on with my other chores. I will be doing plenty more tomorrow. 😊

Did You Know?

George Hood of the US holds the record for abdominal planks. The record stands at 10 hours 10 minutes. The previous record-holder was Mao Weidong of China, who held the plank position for 8 hours and 1 minute.

Phew, even the previous record-holder wasn’t bad, in my opinion. My longest plank so far has been for two-and-a-half-minute. That’s tiny in comparison to the record holders.
