What is happening.......

Of all the things that I had on my bet slip, man united winning game isn't one of them. Not in a long, long time.
Sure they go out and beat a big team. Pull off a massive performance. Score in the last second of a game against Liverpool.
But then they can go out and lose 4 - 0 to Bournemouth or get knocked out of the F.A cup by an amateur team, blow a 2 - 0 lead ect...
Consistency hasn't been there for years. They can get to a Europa League final and almost get relegated in the same year. You know, United things.
It's not just their manager Amorim, this has been going on for a lot longer than that but there is no point in going over all of the issues from the past ten years since he has had enough issues in the past year to fill twenty blog posts.
But it's not all his fault. He has inherited an absolute mess of a club from the top to the bottom.
Ownership, stadium, staff, players it's all on the slide and he has had a tough entry to the club.
The saddest part is that they finished 15th last year with a team that should be top 7 at least. The players are there to compete but they just weren't doing it.
The biggest issue was their keeper Onana who cost them so many points just by himself. The backup keeper was no better but they have a new younger player brought in that seems a lot steadier.
Personally I though that it was a huge mistake not to grab Martinez from Villa when he wanted to come. A top tier keeper that would take charge of the defense and a huge missed opportunity. But we'll see how the young lad gets on.
Manchester United defeated Brighton & Hove Albion 4-2 at Old Trafford on Saturday, securing their third consecutive victory and rising to fourth in the Premier League standings. Matheus Cunha opened the scoring with his first goal for the club, followed by Casemiro's deflected strike and Bryan Mbeumo's brace,
This is the first time that United have won three games in a row which is shocking for a club like the reds.
I can only hope that they can continue to improve form here but I won't hold my breathe just yet. We've seen small glimpses in the past but never sustained success.
It has been nice though to win a few games though and enjoy them. Mbuemo seems to have been a great buy and is a serious workhorse with the skill to match it. A real addition to the team. Cunha looks ok so far and the new striker Sesko a bit quiet but he hasn't been getting huge game time.
They have the players but getting them to gel together, work hard and finish out games has been a struggle.
If he can keep them injury free and welcome back a few others like Martinez the defender then we might keep up the winning streak and get confidence back into the team.
That is the hardest part as we have the players to compete. Top four is all we need this year to get the money flowing again and mid week matches.
I miss the champions league games and even the Europa league. I just can't get excited watching the other teams playing.
The next two teams up are Nottingham Forest and Spurs so two winnable games. Forest are struggling this year after selling a few big players and throwing away the manager while spurs can do anything. You never know what you will get form them.
All I really want to see is confidence and consistency. It was still a bit too close for comfort yesterday after taking a 3 - 0 lead but that will only come form winning games and becoming a strong team with strong connections.
