There are many announcements from Town Square. It almost felt like a Town Hall. We'll see another airdrop for Riftwatchers investors. This is the last time airdrops are given out this way. We've sen lots of people buy packs to qualify for airdrops and sell them on market. Rest of Riftwatchers will happen this way. Rebellion will come with a different mechanism. Probably it'll be an improvement.
Town Square Summary
Thee's an official summary. But I'm glad I checked the full thing. There's many important parts missing form summary. I'd still have some recap over no recap. I won't always have time to watch the whole 1 hour stream :)
2 weeks ago we had 18 bugs left. Looks like we'll have to wait even more than I expected. Even without any revenue coming in, there's enough runway for 5-6 months. If community bought 200K packs/month we should have nothing to worry about. Future is bright :)
There will be new assets in gameplay too! Grain is supposed to be very important. It'll be a new thing to add to DEC, Vouchers & SPS. Economy will get more complex. It might even get different types of players. Not everyone want 1 v 1 battles. I've seen 3rd parties make games playable with SPL assets. But they aren't the same as an official product with bigger budget.
I still want 3rd party games to succeed. @yabapmatt mentioned building tools for other devs. Invennium will be a huge help to have more game devs on Hive. Right now devs have to make their game and build lots of code to work with Hive blockchain. We need a good SDK. Looks like we'll get it SOON™

It was a pretty good run. I think probably too much about Diamond days. I often come very close and then fail. I've given up on Champion. I'll need a lottery to go that far! So far I'm having a good time. Have to wait for Rebellion for the promised new mechanic.
Town Square only teased few things. Mixing of Splinters in battles isn't the new mechanic. We'll have that and 1 more secret cool mechanic.

Another nice thing I got from Town Square is we've got time to max level current reward cards. Ability to sell soul bound is TBD. Devs have bigger stuff on plate. It'll be mid 2024 when soul bound NFTs stop. I won't hold onto those numbers though.
Last few levels ups are hard. I want to do the best I can. If NFTs get unbound it'll cost DEC. I wanna make it to max level without spending DEC. Wish me luck :)

Does anyone know what's SPS staking APR when GLX airdrop is counted? I haven't traded GLX in a long time. Maybe I should have done it while prices were high. Launch prices were huuuge for a token with no playable game. Now I'd say GLX is underrated. Genesis League comes with a mainstream partnership.
Not sure about Primal Hoops. But Goals look like it'll be a nice web 3 game. That won't change my love for Splinterlands. I'll take a rich fantasy setting with deep lore over some sports partnership game any day!
$$$ value is pretty low. But I'll keep staking more. At least there's rewards for 38 more days. We better have a Town Hall for Genesis League stuff. Uncle Aggy is on it. I believe he'll be a good leader.

What do I do? Nothing :)
I'll just keep marching the same way I used to. It's sort of my DCA strategy. Stick with the game I love. I see potential for long term. I ignore short term for better peace of mind. I'm looking profits - I know. But I don't wanna be too obsessed with getting max profits. I'm cool with just regular profits & retire early :P
