Introduction

The Splinterlands team has started an initiative and its called Show Your Battle Contest. Every week the team picks a theme and asks us Monster Manaics to showcase some battles that are in line with that theme. This weeks theme is .......

MAGGOTS

Maggots can typically grow out of old food, a result of the laid eggs of flies. In the death Splinter of Mortis, however, maggots simply wriggle out of the ground. It’s as if the entire surface of Mortis is one huge piece of rotting meat. This phenomenon has yet to be studied by the scientists of Khymeria, Lyveria or Azmaré, but what interest have the living in the dead lands? Lore Taken From official site.

MAGGOTS

Maggots are a member of the Death Splinter. Its a Common monster that has the Opportunity ability and gains the Scavenger ability at level 6. This card was introduced in the UNTAMED collection.

The Battle

This battle took place in the novice league (all monsters at level 1). The battle itself had a MANA cap of 25 and was played in the game mode Lost Magic (magic monsters can't be used). With the MANA cap so high it gave me the opportunity to use the Legendary Death Summoner Crypt Mancer in which cost 5 MANA to play but in return gives a high amount of stat buffs to our friendly Monsters.
CRYPT MANCER

In the Southern Waste of Mortis, an ancient tower sits, shrouded by the darkest magic of the dead. It was into this tower many years ago that a young orphan Human wandered, taking up the staff of a long-dead sorcerer of old. The spirit of the ancient Necromancer, which was still very much alive, possessed the body of the boy. The Cryptmancer was finally rejuvenated; it had been nearly two thousand years since he had felt his own flesh. Through the years, the Cryptmancer has grown in power through his ghastly magic of the dead, and since the Burn has stricken the Splinterlands, he has also taken a keen interest in tournament summoning. For the battle shared above I decided to go with the line up of Haunted Spirit / Spineback Wolf / Creeping Ooze / Maggots / Skelleton Assassin and Haunted Spinder.

My opponent picked a worthly team within the Earth Splinter but in the end my Monsters were victorious. The showcased card, Maggots, did its job perfectly as it survived to the end and had multiple chances to attack the enemies weakest monsters throughout the battle.

Admittedly I haven't used the Maggot card before as my collection is mainly BETA but after seeing it in action I will likely add it to my ever growing collection and monsters I use in my battle line up.

Congratulations on the victory to see if I reach your level and I'm going to level 1241 but what work is hard to get up from there, the truth is that it is costing me work. if you don't see it and see if you can give me some advice

To be fair, I feel kinda like 'maggots' were subconsciously ignored by all of us... cause... maggots.
Upon first glance, it doesn't look that special, but once one realizes 'opportunity' is in play the game changes.
