Well, the Covid-19 cases are rising rapidly in here. While the rest of the world is almost getting recovered fro this deadly virus, in our state, it has started increasing very fast since last 2 weeks. Our local government has already relaunched complete lockdown for last 1 week and I haven't gone out from my home till then.
Let me confess. I have started to lose my patience. I mean this is not a joke! Since March 2020 out locality was on lockdown but most of the people took that as a joke. Most of the pedestrians or street vendors didn't use masks or followed any kind of sanitising process. The police and civic volunteers did their best and I saw that first hand. But you cant control as large as 100 million people without proper instructions.
I can't also blame them fully. Most of them are daily wagers and street hawkers. They fight daily from dawn to late night to earn. While the lockdown is going for several months now, I can't imagine their current situation without work or money.
India undoubtedly will be the biggest affected country in the world in case of COVID-19 situation and only one thing can save us, a vaccine.
Meanwhile, I am still spending my lazy days at home. The office is yet to open so I am doing work from home for my office. On the other hand, I am enjoying my quality days in Hive and Splinterlands. Not only playing the Splinterlands, but I am also enjoying quality days in discord too. You can generally find me in The Neoxian discord Channel talking about splinterlands. ;)
Speaking about posts, that reminds me of this week's @Splinterlands challenge post on the HORNY TOAD! If you are a Splinterlands player, it's obvious that you know about this challenge post where they give one theme every week and we write a quality post on it and get awesome votes by team Splinterlands. This week, the theme is to write an awesome article on the new dragon Reward card HORNY TOAD! So let's take a deep dive into Splinterlands and meet with our challenger, The master of LOVE, Lord HORNY TOAD!
Deep in the Azmaré jungles, where the grass is taller than the elephants, lives an awesome colony of horny toads. Generally small in size, horny toads are always seen in groups soon after rainfall and you can spot them easily for their weird sound. It may be a vegetarian, but when it is in danger, it gets puff-up and fills itself with air, razor-sharp spines protrude in every direction from its body. This amazing defence helps make sure the toads are not eaten as snacks. They also urinate uncontrollably when frightened, an attribute repulsive enough to save their lives quite frequently.
Level 1- In its initial level, it carries 1 melee attack with 2 health and 1 speed. It brings decent attack power with it and also the Reach ability.Level 4- At level 4, it carries 2 melee attack at 3 speed and 2 health. It becomes a decent reach card for this 2 melee attack.Level 10- At max level, It possesses 3 melee attack with 4 health at 4 speed. This card also holds gets Poison ability from level 6 which helps him apply poison on enemies.
Reach
With this ability, the monster can do melee attacks from the second position in the line-up.
Poison
With this ability, the monster will get a 50% chance to apply poison on the enemy while attacking. Affected monster will lose a portion of health each round.

Currently, Horny Toad is placed at 0.031$ per BCX nad there is also a max one (400 BCX) on sale at 12.54$ which is a lucrative prize for a neutral reach monster. The 1 BCX will cost you around 68 DEC currently where you can grab that max one for 27,548 DEC.
Days ago, I bought a max Horny Toad max from the market because I somehow thought this card can be useful in low mana matches. Its performance in small mana matches is quite fruitful and I already started to love this card.

RulesetSo, It was anUnprotected( No armours will be allowed at all in this ruleset ) +Healed Out( All monsters will lose any kind of healing ability). It's a small mana match and I shall go for a 3 mana summoner deck with a group of small monsters and the horny toad also of course.
Mana countThis match holds a decent 15 mana cap!SummonersThis battle supports Fire, Water, Life and Death summoners.
At this much mana cap, I am pretty fearful with what to chose in this 15 mana match with 2 discrete rulesets. As I am going to use a 3 mana summoner, I will be left with only 12 mana and I have to chose it wisely. I finally decided to choose Fire summoner Malric.

COCATRICE
I chose COCATRICE in the first place because of it's Flying and Evade ability. I have a level 7 and it has 1 melee attack at 6 speed and 4 health. It also possesses 2 abilities as stated below.
Flying- With this ability, the monster will get fewer hits from melee and ranged non-flying enemies.Evade- Has a chance to evade melee and ranged attacks from enemies.
HORNY TOAD
I chose HORNY TOAD in the second place because of its Reach and Poison ability. I have a level 10 and it has 3 melee attack at 4 speed and 4 health. It also possesses 2 abilities as stated above already.
ELVEN CUTTHROAT
I chose ELVEN CUTTHROAT in the third place because of its sneak ability. I have a level 8 and it has 3 melee attack at 5 speed and 4 health. It also possesses the sneak as stated below.
Sneak- With this ability, the monster will attack the last monster in line.
KOBOLD MINER
I chose KOBOLD MINER in the fourth place because of its sneak ability. I have a level 8 and it has 3 melee attack at 4 speed and 5 health. It also possesses the sneak as stated below.
Sneak- With this ability, the monster will attack the last monster in line.
CREEPING OOZE
I chose CREEPING OOZE in the fifth place because of its slow ability. I have a level 8 and it has 3 melee attack at 4 speed and 5 health. It also possesses the sneak as stated below.
Slow- With this ability, all the enemy monsters will get debuffed by -1 speed.
FLAME MONKEY
I chose FLAME MONKEY in the sixth place just because of filling the last place. I have a level 5 and it has 1 melee attack at 3 speed and 2 health. It also possesses the Repair as stated below.
Repair- With this ability, the monster can repair a portion of broken armour of any friendly monster.

Well, the match was simply awesome and my Horny Toad has fought well with me in the battleground. The opponent also used a good water deck on me as you can see from the screenshot above. But I was lucky that I won this one.

Battle LinkFirst, let us follow the opponent's line-up...
- My opponent @germansailor used Water summoner Alric against me.
- At the front position, he used Naga Warrior lev 6. He chose a fierce defence to his front and I just hope I get able to kill this retaliate beast with Lil ones.
- At the second position, he used Furious Chicken level 3.
- At the third position, he puts Ruler Of The Seas lev 3.
- At the last position, he chose Creeping Ooze lev 4.
For me, It was quite an unpredictable match after seeing the opponent line-up but at last, I was able to win this one. First of all my opponent has used a magic deck on me But, he chose a fewer number of monsters than me, but his ruler was a big negative point to me, as my cocatrice and Toad is carrying low amount of health packs. His front was good but I had two sneak cards for my attack stance.
Even thou, the opponent was able to kill my 2 front cards, both coca and toad. My sneak brothers did a spectacular job and killed down the ruler before he could destroy my remaining monsters.
If my opponent would have used a Crustacean King on me, I would have lost because my sneak brother would take more time to break those extra armours. But the luck was on me and I successfully won with the Awesome Horny Toad!
So, last but not least I would recommend you guys to have a horny toad. It will help you in untamed only tournaments. Moreover, it's a neutral monster so you can use it with any summoner. For 3 mana cost, this monster has a lot to offer so keep experimenting with it. Who knows if you suddenly make a great strategy with it!
