My Decision

After 4 years at the University of Lagos, .she went for service(NYSC) and she couldn't get a job.

She has been on the chase for a job but all her effort to get one were to no avail.
She keeps going from one church to another Pentecostal church all in the name of a miracle.

Mary couldn't bear it anymore and she decided to give up on the chase of getting a job.
She decided to leave Lagos for Ibadan.

Mary has a friend living in Ibadan.
Mary put a call to her friend to inform her about her decision.

At 6.00 am Mary was at the motor park.
At the park, Mary met a guy called Jackson Jack in a short form. Jack is a contractor, he is going to Ibadan for a contract awarded to him by a shipping company in Lagos to build a warehouse in Ibadan.
Jack is tall and fair in complexion with beards on his cheeks.

Mary was busy with her phone. She was replying to some messages on WhatsApp.
Jack sat close to her and said

Hello
Mary replied, Hello.

They were engaged in conversation all through their journey.

Suddenly a scary sound was heard at the front of the bus.
The tyre at the driver's side busted and everybody in the bus start to call direct names like Jesus, Allah, yeh, etc.

The driver stopped the car and everyone gets down from the bus.
The driver brought out the jack and lift the bus.
The tyre was replaced with the spare one in the bus and the journey continue.

The bus arrived at Ibadan Park at 11.00 am.
Jack and Mary exchange contact and became friends.

After six months of friendship, Jack professes his love to Mary.
They got married and lived happily with their kids.

Mary owns a big shopping mall in Ibadan.

Yes, Mary had given up since the job is not working. She make another decision and decided to leave.
But, thank God she met the greatest turnaround.

Short and precise but I was unable to fathom if the story was fictional or based on real life story since it is not stated in the story or in tags.

After the paragraph that is about the tyre getting fixed, it felt like you rushed the ending, may be because you were cautious of the word count, if not a lot could have happened before the happily ever after occurred

For instance, mary left lagos for ibadan for a reason, to find a job probably but instead she met jack in the bus, a total stranger she has never met before. You never explained if it was love at first sight because from the story it never shows they shared any romantic connection but all of a sudden they got married.

Secondly for someone who is concerned about her means of survival, focusing on her phone to pass time, suddenly her attention was called by jack, I'm sure at first, it must have felt unpleasant to her, she could have sighed or grumbled a little to show her discomfort. I guess application of onomatopoeia could have illustrated that because from the story it felt like she was expecting "hello" from jack, someone she was not focusing on in the first place.

Questions such as, did mary eventually achieved her aim for heading to ibadan? What attracted the young man to Mary? Is left unanswered

The story was straight forward which is cool but a little bit of suspense and twist could have add more aroma to the story if applied.

Everything you stated were all correct.

Honestly, I gave the story a quick ending because I was having issues with my phone when I was typing the story.
When the phone is hanging unnecessarily, you should know how frustrating it will be.
