In this post, I would like to introduce you to an initiative I launched in the last weeks: the CrypUp Project.
@cryptup is an account I created some weeks ago. What is it? It's a project with 2 different goals and work methods, completely not vincoled.

2) LOCKED FUNDS ACCOUNT

How did it born?
Some weeks ago I asked myself: from where we can obtain new funds to insert in the STEEM ecosystem? The first answer came to me from a fact I noticed: many posts of travel and pictures on steemit. Somebody could want to promote this type of post: so, we can found new investors for the STEEM ecosystem "using" the people that want to award a prize to these particular posts, doing a promotion of the mentioned place or picture, for example.
One. And then?
Today in the steemit ecosystem there are paid bots: you send a number of steems and they vote. Why don't we have to get involved in this mechanism and make a selection on the posts that newcomers or investors want to promote, so as to avoid the boost of the unworthy posts? Here we thought to open a service that does this: we check the post that a third person wants to promote; if we evaluate it as sufficiently worthy/original / well done, we will proceed with the boosting service; we will accept a sum in cryptocurrency and deduct 10% as the cost of the service. We will then convert the rest into steem and send everything to one or more bid-bots. They will vote and the boost will be successful.
I want to answer some doubts: ours is a paid service but it stems from the desire to come between an automated paid curation service, that is without making a selection on a meritocratic basis (a process that is currently carried out by the bid-bots on the platform ). In this way we can make a selection for those who, from now on, will enter this ecosystem, consequently making it more "new steem", as opposed to a criticism that has been addressed to me in recent days. We understand that the difference is subtle, but the practical meaning is abysmal: we are not bid-bots, we are curators who select the best posts.
We are unfavorable to paid curation services, but they exist. Our goal, therefore, becomes to try to exploit this mechanism to make the post boost a worthwhile boost, considering that the arrival of funds helps to increase the value of the STEEM token.
As we said, it must be clear that ours is a paid service: we aren't the champions of steem and our knowledge and our time will cost 10% of the sum you will send us. If you think our service isn't helpful, just don't use it.
The second goal of Cryptup is the following and it is completely not-vincoled from the first one: we would like to open a manual curation program, totally free. To do this, we will raise some funds. So, we came up with a plan: we created a locked funds' account. We set each post 100% power-up as reward's method and all power-upped STEEMs will never be power-downed.
The only gain in the future will be the ETHICAL GAIN: the curation rewards from the curated posts. In addition, we will can delegate some steem power to other projects that we consider worthy. If one day in the future we will stop our service, we will not do any power-down and the STEEMs will remain blocked as STEEM POWER.
We do this because we don't want to damage the STEEM ecosystem but to help stop inflation that is normally present in this world.

It should be specified that the promotion service will be carried out by @cryptup as a bridge between the other cryptocurrencies and the STEEM ecosystem. The exchange service provided by @blocktrades to all users of the platform will be used to convert other cryptocurrencies in STEEM.
