Feeling Groovy
The title of this post comes from the Simon and Garfunkel song The 59th Street Bridge
Ever since I heard the song by Simon and Garfunkel I dreamed of visiting NYC and seeing the bridge.
I was 6 when the song came out and probably heard it about that age and remember reading or being told about the 59th Street Bridge and saying to myself I would visit and see it one day.
I never expected at that age or even in my early 20’s that I would ever make it to visit NYC, but its funny how life can give you turns good or bad and you can never know what will happen.
Not only did I visit NYC and have worked here for over 21 Years now, and I am still fascinated by this bridge, and I see it most work days and I will miss viewing it when I retire at the end of this month.
I know I have shared many shots of the bridge but I do love this bridge and think there is never too many shots of it :)
And this first shot is from Roosevelt Island which I have only visited two or three times so I haven't shared to many from this angle.

And another hsot from on Roosevelt Island I went with a Mono edit and a slightly different style from my normal mono edits, if i have a normal that is, but this is an edit style I havent tried before and was quite happy how this came out.

Running out of words to add to this post so let me add the lyrics to the song
The 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin' Groovy)"
Slow down, you move too fast
You got to make the morning last
Just kicking down the cobblestones
Looking for fun and feelin' groovy
Ba da da da da da da, feelin' groovy
Hello, lamppost, what'cha knowin'?
I've come to watch your flowers growin'
Ain't'cha got no rhymes for me?
Doot-in doo-doo, feelin' groovy
Ba da da da da da da, feelin' groovy
I got no deeds to do
No promises to keep
I'm dappled and drowsy and ready to sleep
Let the morning time drop all its petals on me
Life, I love you
All is groovy
I am not sure if this shot is also from Roosevelt Island or from the Manhattan side.
