Wörthersee Sunset / Sonnenuntergang am Wörthersee

Cloudless and a bit hazy in the mountains, that's how my last sunset at Lake Wörthersee presented itself.

Wolkenlos und ein bisschen diesig in den Bergen, so präsentierte sich mein letzter Sonnenuntergang am Wörthersee.

At this spot I photographed the fireworks on New Year's Eve. On the left is the village of Reifnitz, known from the annual Wörthersee GTI meeting, which has been called AutoNews for several years, and above you can see the wooden lookout tower on the Pyramidenkogel.

An dieser Stelle habe ich zu Silvester die Feuerwerke fotografiert. Links ist der Ort Reifnitz, bekannt vom alljährlichen Wörthersee GTI Treffen, seit einigen Jahren AutoNews genannt und oberhalb sieht man den hölzernen Aussichtsturm am Pyramidenkogel.

Towards the center of the photo you can see the Reifnitz Castle and next to it on the right you can see the Maria Wörth peninsula with the church complex of the same name. The peninsula is of course not really recognizable as such.

Gegen Fotomitte hin kann man das Schloss Reifnitz erkennen und gleich rechts daneben ist die Halbinsel Maria Wörth mit der gleichnamigen Kirchenanlage zu sehen. Die Halbinsel ist als solches natürlich nicht wirklich erkennbar.

The snow-covered mountain behind the Maria Wörth church is the Dobratsch near Villach, of which I have already shown many photos. In the background to the right is the village of Pörtschach am Wörthersee on the north shore of the lake.

Der schneebedeckte Berg hinter der Kirche Maria Wörth ist der Dobratsch bei Villach, von dem ich schon viele Fotos gezeigt habe. Rechterhand im Hintergrund liegt die Ortschaft Pörtschach am Wörthersee am Nordufer des Sees.

That was all for today - a mirror-smooth lake and soft sunset colors on a nice Saturday evening that I wish you all.

Das war alles für heute - ein spiegelglatter See und sanfte Sonnenuntergangsfarben and einem schönen Samstagabend, den ich euch allen wünsche.

All photos were shot with the Canon EOS R and one of these lenses: Canon RF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM, Canon EF 70-200mm f/4 L IS II USM, Canon EF 16-35mm 1:4L IS USM, SIGMA 105mm 1:2,8 DG MACRO HSM, SIGMA 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM C.

aber wirklich wie ein Spiegel, es muss ja absolut windstill gewesen sein um solch eine Wasserfläche zu erhalten.

ich danke dir vielmals :)
Natürlich ist da auch eine längere Belichtungszeit dabei gewesen, die das Wasser flacher macht, aber es war ein schöner windstiller Abend, das stimmt.

Beautiful sunset, even without clouds. You are really lucky @johannpiber, with extremely calm water in lake Wörthersee. I love mirror reflection of mountains in the lake.
Hope that your Sunday trip to Slovenia will be really good. Cup of hot !COFFEEA for the morning and large !BEER for later.

Thank you, JJ, it was a really nice windless Spring evening, although it is the mid of Winter, but apart from the snow capped mountains you can't see anything winterly here ;)
