I remember the first cars I had, which could be unlocked only with the key. Back then I always used a lighter to heat the key and then used it to melt the ice in the lock.
My wife has such a problem with her Beetle - the side windows have no doorframe and when you unlock the car these windows roll down an inch, but sometimes they are frozen and she cannot open the doors - she has wanted a fancy car, and now she has to wait outside sometimes ;)

Ohh yes I remember cars with just the key, back whenI was first driving thats all there was, but then again back in NZ it never got that cold where i lived that freezing was an Issue
WhenII was in the balkans we only had keys to open our vehicles and I regularly used a lighter or hot water to de freeze so I could get into the vehicle
I may not be !DERANGED but I share deranged tokens, similarly I don't drink !BEER anymore
