I'm only joking - Austria is closed and running on minimal operations (haven't known this expression before). We haven't many sick people and only 1 has died, but I believe our government is doing the right thing.

Absolutely, shut everything down before it gets bad and that will save alot of lives. Did you guys have a chance to stock up on supplies?
Good morning @janton, I think your government has done about the same as ours, and I think soon life will be normal again ... we should all hope that, and when I look at China I believe it too :)
We have some food at home and I have no fear that we might not be able to buy more when we need some. The only thing that seems to be almost out in many shops is toilet paper ;)

Howdy tonight sir johannpiber! I was listening to an expert on viruses today, a doctor who specializes in them, a Virologist. And he said it was going to take 3 to 6 months for this thing to run it's course!

yes, that is what I also have heard and that's about the time we are expecting to be in this situation.
But first we are waiting for Italy to say that they have less and less infections, because that would mean we all are doing the right thing.

I agree sir johannpiber, it's amazing how hard Italy got hit, it was a real wake up call for the rest of the world I think! And their methods seem to be working I think.
We do all hope that their methods work, because if they don't work we have a big problem.
But I am optimistic and believe that we will be virus free in a while :)

I hope so too, the whole world. Here in the U.S. I think some big cities will have to have medical marshal law declared with curfews and all kinds of things but so far it only looks like Northern California, New York and Washington state and Virginia might have to have those drastic measures.
I think just as all other European states are locking down in the next days the US states will do the same, because it seems to work in China and in Italy hopefully too.
You are lucky to live on the countryside and you can go outside whenever you want without having to meet other people, because this is the most important thing: to avoid social contacts.
