We pay for everything in cash unless it is a big expense but I think almost everyone else uses a debit or credit card. I like using cash because of what you said, it hurts when you see your wallet being drained, you are more aware of how much you are spending.

The government of course, wants to go digital so they can track everything and that will eliminate most cheating on taxes and such. You won't be able to get paid "under the table" in cash, for instance.

We'll have to use bartering to not be tracked by the government.
