Independent but enslaved!

The heavens shed tears for the crime of this land...

Today is National day, the day Nigeria presumably got liberated from British Colonialist 59 years ago. It's been raining right before day break in the City of Lagos where I reside, I hope its the same in the Capital of Nigeria too Abuja because its a perfect disruption to any Independence parade and shenanigans.

Nothing is right with my country at 59, i know a couple of developed Nations aged older before things seems to be better(right), better than other countries looking up to them in terms of warfare and economy.

We have clueless leaders and greedy lawmakers whose wages is equivalent to or more than the National Budget of so many countries. Also, it seems our Government sponsors the Terror group Boko Haram which makes it hard for anyone close to North Eastern part of Nigeria to sleep with both eyes closed.

Counting all the misdeeds of the Government is depressing, though several countries share similar problem, but I believe they won't be happy celebrating independence day like over here, where another millions of US dollars is going down the drain for celebrating advance slavery!
