I'm struggling with this. I recently cancelled a powerdown. Looking at that button again. Looking at the editor, thinking about what to say. There's a lot I could say.
I removed all my witness votes. A few hours ago I went back and placed a few where they belong, for now.
It's not an easy choice, some of the witnesses (most of them) are just here to make money, too. It's got a flavour of brand loyalty to it or something.
Some people are voting for old witnesses (top guys active and not running 22.5) to see if we can ignore Steemit. I'm not saying they deserve it, but it seems better to me than the alternative for the next week or so.
I think if that Steemitblog announced a change to the power down happens soon, you won't have to wait long to power down, but I hope you have access to an exchange that isn't 'frozen' and get out while you can. I don't need the money, so I'll just wait it out until things are clear. I'm not going to get trapped with a Tron pump and dump though.
I'm going to wait a few more weeks until this plays out to make my decision. I'm not migrating to Tron, I'll try something else if that happens.
I don't know what I'm going to do. I know I won't be going somewhere to start from scratch. This was far too much work to simply give up on.
I hope you don't give up no matter what happens. There is definitely work going on right now to back up written content and I know you have your art stored somewhere. So it won't be gone, but yeah starting again from 0 SP or whatever could be tough.
Someone will be keen to keep something like this going, the value could tank for a while, so as long as there is other revenue coming in, it can be survived. Maybe another break will be in order soon (keep one eye on Steem at least).
