Life is a series of small puzzles.

Life is a puzzle. A giant puzzle that has so many pieces we can even see them all yet.

You know when you open a new puzzle and spill the pieces out onto the ground. There is a huge pile of pieces with no order, piled on top of each other. Some upside down some stuck to each other and so many that you don't know where to start.

That's life at an early age.

Every day is learning and trying to piece a couple of bits together. You still don't know what the big plan is and you don't understand much but you keep trying to put a few pieces together.

After a while you get the edges together and the puzzle starts to take shape.
Along the way you group a few similar pieces together and make little clusters.
Then you try to fit those clusters into the frame that you built.
They take their place and you can connect a few of the clusters together.
You have a bigger picture but a lot of space left to fill.
It gets easier now as there are not so many options to choose.
You have the bigger picture and just need to fill in the empty spaces.
Then you fill in all the small gaps with the last parts to complete a beautiful picture.

Along the way there is stress and frustration.
Happiness and achievement.
Pain and anger.
But you struggle through, progressing with each new piece that fits into place until you have the full picture.

Then it goes into a box. Just like us. :D
A great metaphor for life.

Just like life.

Each morning, we wake up to a new daily puzzle. These smaller challenges are the building blocks of the larger picture. A daily puzzle might be as simple as tackling a to-do list, prioritizing tasks, managing time, and celebrating small wins. Or it could be more profound, like a tough conversation with a loved one or finding the courage to take a step toward a long held dream. These puzzles demand focus, patience, and adaptability. Some days, we solve them with ease, snapping pieces into place with a satisfying click. Other days, we’re left staring at a scattered mess, unsure how to move forward.

The key to solving these daily puzzles is perspective. Just as a puzzler steps back to see the broader image, we must step back from our daily struggles. A missed deadline or a heated argument might feel like a failure in the moment, but in the grand puzzle, it’s just one piece.

Each day is a puzzle to solve. Tackle its pieces one by one until the bigger picture becomes clearer. The picture may not yet be completed but with each piece that you connect, you are working towards that end goal.

Perspective matters a lot in this regard. It's the defining metric on what to focus on first, prioritize then build up the pieces from there. Sometimes, I think it's enough to just find the first piece of a puzzle and start from there isn't of looking for all the pieces before moving on to solve the puzzle.
