It comes around quickly every year.
I always know when my Hive anniversary is coming up because it lands on my actual birthday.

A lot has changed since those early days on Hive and in my own life. Back then I jumped into this crazy blockchain with no stake and no knowledge of how it worked or how to grow my account.
Everything was complicated and people were still trying to build the most basic tools to make that experience better. I spent my days learning and grinding the cause to try and earn a few HP where ever i could and learn more along the way.
Nowadays I've gotten a fair handle on crypto and especially Hive and managed to work my way up into the top 200 stakeholders on chain.

I even have a great project in our sports community that i try to help @blanchy with called Sportsblock From trying to learn how to operate on the chain we are now trying to grow it and drive adoption.
Whatever else has been happening in my life I've always kept a hand in here and tried to be active and useful whatever way that I can.
I know that a lot of people are only focused on the price of Hive and they have a valid point in saying that we need to drive it upwards as eventually the token price will kill the whole eco-system if we don't do something about it but that is not the be all and end all of Hive.
There are a lot of people that have been here for a long long time trying to make this a thriving eco-system. I've seen a lot of post lately from people here 6,7,8,9 years and that is a huge commitment to anything in this life.
We all have the same end goal and should be working towards that as a group and taking action that help it as a group.
I fully expect to be making my ten year post this time next year but I also want to make a 15 and 20 year post too. I don't have the same free time that I used to with kids and work in a different place but I still consider this place my online home and love to see the same names and faces that I've been following for years.
That's what builds community and what gives us a fighting chance to be successful while other projects are failing all around us.
