Predictions for Crypto in 2020 - Just Mental Musings
Here it is, exactly 365 days from a year ago. Who could have predicted 99% of the things that happened this year? I don't know. But the future is very exciting on many different fronts for the cryptocurrency market... I think.
To make some predictions, I ate a few tabs of LSD, Licked a frog in my backyard, starve myself for seven days and then gazing into my crystal ball.
(* These are all opinions and not based on anything in particular but my own gut, Please for the love of God do not base any financial decisions off of my writings here :D)
Predictions:
- I think a lot of smaller crypto projects will be absorbed into larger crypto projects, more so mergers between projects to create stronger overall projects. Case in point the potential merger of Steem and Tron. Dam, that would be HOT!
- I do not think we'll see $100,000 a year for bitcoin, but we will see a strong rally happened. Perhaps around the next bitcoin halving that is coming up. I think bitcoin will set about 25 or 30,000 by the end of the year. (* app that means somebody has to get his d*** on national television - any guesses who?).
- I think we will also see some surprise announcements from the major players in the retail sector.
- I don't think that 2020 will be the year cryptocurrency becomes mainstream, no... But it will keep making major progress forward, More users will onboard and perhaps around the end of 2020, we start to see the mass onboarding and the true rise of Bitcoin.
- I think we'll see a high profile criminal case that comes to the surface involving cryptocurrency, like national media attention size, Expected dip at this point but then a sizeable rebound.
- I think a major nation will switch to a purely digital currency. Thinking maybe Brazil to get around the international embargoes and the failing economy.
- Bitcoin's true founder will be revealed in the third quarter of this year.
- Decentralized finance Will continue to grow and become more mainstream (* this may be the catalyst to bring on the masses)
- Facebook's coin will be accepted as a national currency to compete with China's growing cryptocurrency adaptation.
- And my 10th wild prediction, Donald Trump will be ousted from the White House by a newly elected president, he will refuse to go citing false claims causing major riots in the US. This will spark widespread panic and the US dollar will drop causing many people to seek alternate forms of currency including bitcoin. I do not hope this will happen... That's why it's just the wild prediction :D
