I came across a Hive/NFT based game the other day that seemed really cool called Human History. In this game you play as a cave man (or woman) that has a very basic existance, hunt food, eat food, get big. You can also build tools and buy houses. The core mechanic is "waiting game" kind of like another NFT based game called Rising Stars, although this one actually has more things to do.

Unlike most Hive and NFT based games, you do not need to invest anything in this game to start! There are three tokens in this game you need to know about. You are given a few hundred "Nuggets" and you are free to go. Nuggets are the ingame currency that you use to buy equipment and food. You can buy "Gems" with real money or crypto, but it's unessessary unless you want not not wait in a waiting game? Both of these tokens are not really on the Hive network and are a seperate thing. The last token is called HISTC. This token can be created if you have 1000 Nuggets. Then you can transfer the token to your Hive-engine account and trade for other currencys. I have not gotten 1000 Nuggets yet to try this, I'm unsure if you can go the other way and get Nuggets for HISTC. I have not seen any real use for this token beside to sell it, and because of that this token is not really worth very much.

So, Human History is an RPG like waiting game where you have health and morale that go down if you fail to eat in a day or do nothing at all you are penalized. So you need to login every day or your guy will run out of health and need to go to the hospital. Because of this constant checking up on your guy it feels a lot like a tomadachi. The whole point of the game is to keep your dude well fed and get a bigger house, that give you more of an energy recharge, and then competing in clans and leaderboards for prizes. If you run out of energy, you can set yourself to sleep for a portion of time and regain energy, but I think renting housing is a better option and just recover energy passively.

Once you complete tasks you get experience in your job and your main level. When your main level dings you can press the "+" sign next to the level and then assign points in traits the increase your chances in activities. You can level up your job and become more proficient in it too.

All of the NFTs on this game are really just psudo-NFTs that are only collectible on the website and not the blockchain. Most of the items self burn and have a time limit. They will disapear after their set time. As you can see this axe costs 52 Nuggets on the shop and only lasts 21 days. So, make sure you get your money's worth from items you forge or buy, they don't last forever.

The Jobs you can choose from have different amounts of time to complete and different amount of energy to start. I suggest cutting wood as a lumberjack to start. Although the higher tiered jobs are more profitable once you start building your max energy. Don't worry, you can change your job at any time.

Hunting is the cheapest and easiest way to get food and experience. There are four different options to choose to go on hunts. The longer hunts give you more experience and more chance to find food, but a better chance to get injured and lose the hunt. The equipment you buy from the store/marketplace or forge will reduce the chace to get injured and increase your chance to hunt food. Before hunting in the hunt menu, make sure to equip your best armor. After your hunt make sure to check the Loot button and collect your prizes. I highly suggest checking the shop and buying a weapon that gived you a better chance to hunt and some armor to avoid getting injured before starting any hunt.

Once you start making some Nuggets, consider renting and then buying some housing. This will increase the amount of energy you recover over time from sleeping. You will start to recover energy passively while not sleeping too. Owning or renting property makes they game a lot more fluid, and you will almost always have enough energy to do something.

You can join clans that get special bonuses to experience and crafting. They have a sperate marketplace to buy and sell items. Also you can join in on raiding other clans to steal their goods!

If you have absolutely nothing else to do, you could try the "Sports" function. Setting a amount of time, you can "workout". This increases experience, but at the expense of your size. Which I don't think is worth it. You grow in size for each time you eat food. The bigger you are the higher on a leaderboard you will be to recieve prizes.

It doesn't seem like very many people play this game. There really isn't much money to be made from this and it's not really a playtoearn format. It's more like a fun experimental waiting game that is loosely based on NTFs and Hive. Make sure you eat each day and have fun!
