You are quite far up from me, but I wasn't playing for quite a long time.
However, now I'm just trying to do as much Quests as I can (as the available time allows me) to gain some gold and build up my heroes. For now, I'm doing it without potions as they appear quite expensive to me.
So, my approach at the moment is slow and steady! 😉 😊
