@roelandp I have an idea and i think it’s a good one. An HBD flea market to encourage the usage of HBD as a currency IRL. I imagine with the scale of this event there must be some space for it somewhere.

Originally @tentententen and I were thinking about looking for somewhere to do a pop up shop somewhere in Kumpur Lumpur that week to potentially help us recoup the travel costs. She makes yarn goods like small pouches, earrings and decorative summer hats.

I realized that not only could we tie this in with Hivefest but that we could potentially make it bigger than just us and promote actually usage of the token.

People could bring hand-made goods, used stuff or whatever they sell for their daily work. Maybe some people could bring goods for friends who can’t make it.

Maybe if someone from @distriator or @spendhbd comes they could bring some small items from various shops in their area.

All we would need is a little corner somewhere and maybe a dozen or so tables tables (depending on how many people express interest in the idea). I think 2-4 hours in the early afternoon 2 days would be ideal. A nice thing for people to check out between speakers and other events

I think the simpler the better, I just want to see people using HBD!
