Coco visits the beach and sees the sea for the first time

Sunset at salthill

Yesterday was a great day for Coco, our beautiful little Springer spaniel puppy. I've been enjoying sharing some posts about her here on Hive already, so here is the latest update. Yesterday evening we decided to take a spin down to the beach before bedtime. It was a chance for the kids to run off some energy and chase the waves or run away from them more like and it didn't take Coco long to want to join in the fun.

Play acting with the waves

She was so funny once she got a bit used to the waves. At first she was cagey and didn't really want to get wet, but once she saw a few waves lap up and recede, her confidence increased and she had a go herself at chasing them and trying to eat them!

We had to have her on the leash unfortunately as we are still training her and there is a busy road right beside the beach, so couldn't risk allowing her off the leash. As you can see from the photos though, it didn't detract too much from the fun and shenanigans.

A walk on the farm

Next on the list might be a trip to the farm, again with her on the leash, as there are sheep and horses on the farm and at her age she may well chase the animals and scare them.

I know she'll love the fresh air and wide open spaces though, so that's one for the list of fun places to bring her for a walk some time soon.

It's so heartening to see her loving her new suroundings though, as it can't be easy as a pup leaving your Mammy and brothers and sisters behind, but she has a new family in us and she seems to be very happy where she is and long may that continue.

Thanks as always for stopping by.

Peace Out

LOL, it's funny how our beagle when I was growing up went barking after the waves in Florida one winter until they started chasing him back when the bark turned to yip, yipe, yipe!!! Loved that dog, might have to take these little ankle nippers to San Diego one day to see how they react.

Andy

Ha ha, your beagle sounds like he/she was a little character. Dogs can be so amazing, you should definitely arrange a trip to San Diego for your dogs when you get a chance. We're lucky to be just 15 minutes drive from the Atlantic

i would shower with coco if i were you

She is a great little family pup and a big part of the family already after just 2 months.
