i've been able to keep up with splinterlands daily but once they changed and let players stay in a lower league it really sucks - i have $800 worth of cards and can barely stay in gold 1 vs all the level 8's - so i am just using it for cash cow and dumping my $dec now.
I used to save it up for an occasional card upgrade but i just can't compete with the big whale players - i guess i got like 3 years out of it for starting at $20 - and I just dumped like $20 of $dec - so i'm at break even
i've been contemplating dumping my cards for the $800 - but what the hell, I'm hoping the land thing turns out to make it interesting again - we'll see ;)

I've kind of been the same way. I've never valued my deck, but I feel the same way about the rules change. I enjoy the game though, but agree that I've also considered dropping out. I've just been playing when I have extra time. I basically do my daily quest, besides that, I don't spend a lot of time in game. I did purchase a land plot, so it will be interesting to see what comes of that.
I feel you with Splinterlands. It's the same story with me. Almost not playing and selling the cards ...
